To celebrate its 30th anniversary, one of our project partners, the International Association for Alpine History, held an event at the beginning of July 2025:
«Des Alpes traversées aux Alpes vécues» (1995–2025)
30 anni di Association Internazionale pour l’Histoire des Alpes | Associazione Internazionale per la Storia delle Alpi | Internationale Gesellschaft für Historische Alpenforschung | Mednarodno Združenje za Zgodovino Alp
The event took place at the Casa della sostenibilità in Airolo and included presentations and several round-table discussions, including one on “Mobilità e viabilità. Gli atout della periferia” (Mobility and traffic the advantages of the periphery), which was moderated by Margareth Lanzinger.
Hospice at the Gotthard Pass
On Friday morning, a new network of great interest to our project was presented: The Swiss Alpine Research Collaboration (Swiss ARC).
Afterwards, we drove to the Gotthard Pass, where we visited the museum and the hospice, which was built in the thirteenth century.
